PLAY ABOUT A PLAY
PROLOGUE
DIRECTOR:
I welcome you to the first and only performance of "A Play about a Play", just kidding you folks; it is literally what it is about, a play about a play about a play about a play. You know where I am getting at. This is a love piece for the theatre in many ways. It will try to encourage those to appreciate the hard work of the stage actor, but that doesn’t mean become one. So, let us begin with our feature presentation. At this time, I will ask that all cell phones and pagers are turned off, all headphones are put away, no food is in the theatre, and for your safety, and the safety of the hard-working personnel here in charge, stay in your seats until the intermission. I am saying this as a safety measure. Also, no flash photography of any kind is allowed, because the actors will freak out and lash back at you, and also, I thank you all for coming tonight and helping support this project and get it off its wings, and now, here we are, with our "Play about a Play".
