This just in- the actress playing Simone has been let go by the show. The role of Simone will be killed off in the early summer.
The role of Lauren Bryant will be recast.
The role of Jeff Stacy will return in June and will be back for about a month.
The actors portraying Rita Kelley, Jonathan and Gabe Stacy, Lauren Bryant, JJ Franklin, and Jordan Edington will ALL be leaving when their contracts expire. All, except JJ (who will leave in the late summer, due to storyline reasons) will leave sometime in late June or early July.
The role of "Scott", a kid in his late teens will be introduced to the show's canvas this summer, and will be involved in the teen scene with Emily, Malcolm, and Kenya, and he has ties to one of the families in town.

Rumors are swirling around that the actress who played Lorelei is being lured away to a soap on another network. AA's reps do NOT comment on rumors.
TAL Un-Casting News:
The actors playing Lauren Bryant, Rita Kelley, Jonathan and Gabe Stacy, JJ Franklin, and Jordan Edington have ALL opted not to renew their contracts when they expire. The role of Lauren is the only one being recast. There are no immediate plans to deal with Rita's exit at the time.
The actress playing Simone has been released from her contract, and will tape her final scenes at the end of May. Look for her to exit sometime in late June.

The role of Steve is being introduced to the show. Steve is a character in his late teens, will be involved in the teen scene, and has ties to one of the families on the show. This is a contract role.
Jeff Stacy returns to Alderman Junction in June to attend the high school graduation of his boys- Jonathan and Gabe (isn't it a cowinky dink that Jon & Gabe will be leaving this summer as soon as their dad returns to town?).
